Recap

Ok so now let go back over all of the sections that I’ve covered and see what card offers the most value.

So first up we covered the annual fee and sign-up bonus for each card, and for this section, the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card quite easily beat out the Citi Premier card.
First of all the annual fee is the same for both cards, but the 100,000 bonus points for new cardmembers of the Chase Sapphire Preferred card are worth $650 more than what the Citi Premier Card offers you.

So that’s 1 point for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Next up I went over how each card can earn you points and for this section, the Citi Prestige card beat out the Chase Sapphire Preferred card as it offers a higher earning rate of 3x points for restaurants, Supermarkets, Gas Stations, Air travel, and Hotels.

So you should be able to easily earn more points than you can with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.

So that’s one point for the Citi Premier Card

In the next section, I went over some of the benefits and user perks that each card offers, and for this section, the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card offers $79.88 more in value.
It also has a large variety of different travel-related insurance coverage that the Citi Premier just doesn’t offer.

So that’s another point for the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.

So based on the numbers above the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card comes out on top with 2 points to 1 as it offers more value from its sign-up bonus of 100,000 points, and its benefits and perks offer more value and options than the Citi Premier Card.

So the winner for this review is the Chase Sapphire Preferred card.
