So how much money did I make from this video that has been viewed 8.8 million times?

In this article, I’m going to take you through what my YouTube channel with 44,000 subscribers earnt in 2022,
Along with this, I’ll show you how much I’ve made from some of my more popular videos including one video that has had 8.8 Million views, my most popular short video that has had 2.2 million views, and then my highest-earning video of 2022.

But before we jump into how much I made in 2022 from my YouTube channel I’d like to thank the sponsor of this article ‘HMKT‘ which has kindly supplied me with this 1/18th scale diecast Bburago Ferrari Monza SP1 in silver with a yellow stripe.

HMKT is offering you the chance to save 10% off your next order through their website – https://www.hmkt.nl by using the code ‘NYCars10’
So make sure to take a look at their website to see some of the more than 10,000 miniature cars they have on offer.

This model from Bburago which is 1/18th scale is perfect for any collector or fan of the iconic Italian car brand, and best of all, it looks really good.

The attention to detail on this model is quite impressive.

It has a beautiful silver paint job, which is complemented perfectly by the bold yellow stripe.
Bburago really has done an excellent job of capturing the essence of the real-life vehicle.
It also has working steering, suspension, and real rubber tires.
The trunk, hood, and door open up to reveal a detailed interior and engine bay.

And if you don’t want to keep the car fixed on the stand it comes with it is possible to just unscrew it from the platform.

So before I take you through the earnings from my video which has had just over 8.8 million views, I just wanted to give you an idea of how much my short YouTube video with almost 2.2 million views earnt.

Now the video itself is a 47-second video of a stunning R34 Nissan GTR V-Spec that had a massive turbo, a sequential gearbox, and apparently 1,500hp.
And to be fair, the car apparently ran an 8.8 quarter mile at 159 mph on its first outing, so it’s probably pretty close to that number.

I saw this car in Sydney Australia and I must say that it looks amazing in real life, and the Turbo on it is absolutely massive!

Now at the time of making this video, the short has had 2.179 million views, approximately 179,000 likes and 838 comments, which at least to me is a pretty decent amount of engagement.

And what’s interesting about this video is that it took a little while to take off.
On the first day, it only received 236 views and within the first week, it received 2363 views which is nothing crazy.
It wasn’t until about 30 days in that the video started to gain traction – as you can see it was at 48,840 views, then 10 days later it was at 99,384 (almost double)
And from here it has continued to receive quite a lot of views each month.

Now in actual Adsense revenue, this video has brought in a massive….. $33.63 USD….. which is pretty underwhelming.

Youtube Ad revenue

But on a more positive note, this video has resulted in me receiving 4,800 new subscribers which is a decent amount! It’s literally 10% of my total account.

So now let’s take look at my most popular video on this channel which is titled ‘Ferrari Madness in Monaco’ and currently this one video has 8.79 million views.
It has also accounted for literally a quarter of the subscribers on this channel bringing in 11,400 subscribers.

And as the title says it is a compilation of some of the amazing Ferraris I have seen around Monaco at the time.
There is also a section in the video where I got the chance to be driven around the F1 track in a Ferrari Enzo! Which was an amazing experience.

On that day there was a charity event being held and they were offering rides in a whole variety of different Ferraris for less than 100 euros, which I thought was amazing!
There was the option to go in the Enzo which I went in, an F50, a couple of F40s, an F12 TDF, and even more!
And if I didn’t have to run back to work that day I would have gone in every car If I could have.

Now one really unusual thing with this video is that it barely did anything for the first 182 days.
By March 13th of 2019 which was 6 months from the date I posted this video, it had only received 14,385, which is nothing to write home about.

Then for some reason, 2 days later on March 15th (184 days later) the views doubled to 28,741 views.
And then 6 days later by March 21st, it had accumulated 1,243,765 views. Which to me is insane!
Ever since then, it has consistently brought in quite a reasonable amount of views each month.

Now you might think that this video has made quite a decent amount of money, but that’s not quite the case.

If you look at the CPM here (which stands for Cost Per Mille) or in simple terms, how much YouTube receives from advertisers per 1,000 views for a specific video, this actual video has a CPM of just $4.96, which is not that high.
Now if you look at the RPM which stands for (Revenue Per Mille), and this is what I actually make per 1,000 views, it is only .95 cents, which is extremely low!

As a comparison to my other YouTube channel that focuses on Personal Finance and Day Trading, I have a few videos that have a CPM of over $59! And an RPM of $19, which is 20 times more than what this car video has been earning.

YouTube Analytics

But let’s get back to exactly how much I earned from this video.
So for 8.79 million views, I earned a grand total of $8,324.11.
And this is a decent amount of money for one video and I’m really quite happy with how it has done over the past few years.

Youtube earnings

But as you can see from my other channel the niche can greatly affect how much you can earn from YouTube.
Along with this, having more engaging content and longer watch times can really help to improve your CPM and RPM.

One example of this would be my most popular video of 2022 which was a video I uploaded at the beginning of June.

This was a longer video than the last video, about 50% longer, coming in at just over 15 mins.

At the time of writing this article, it has had just over 1.5 million views and has brought in 2,100 subscribers.
And interestingly enough the watch time on this video is longer than the previews video, and this has resulted in a higher CPM of $7.30 and an RPM of $1.55.
This has seen this video make $2,327.61 in the past 6 months which is pretty good!

So let’s finish off by looking at my overall stats on this channel for 2022.
I received a total of 10.7 million views, receive 19,100 new subscribers, and made $8,859.62.

Now obviously this isn’t enough money to support my lifestyle, but it is a nice way to earn a bit of extra income that I can then use to reinvest into this channel.
And seeing that I love cars, this extra income makes it possible for me to travel to some fantastic car shows like the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Top Marques in Monaco, and even a ton of different cars and coffee events in California.

So I’d like to thank everyone that subscribes to this channel and everyone that watches my videos as it really does make a positive difference to my ability to provide you with this content.

And for 2023 I will continue to invest all of the money I earn from this channel so I can travel to as many car shows and car events as possible to try and bring you the most interesting content possible.
