Are you looking for a new business credit card that has a large sign-up bonus and the ability to earn cash-back from a variety of different options?

Then this new business card from Chase might be of interest to you.

In this article, I’m going to review the new Chase Ink Business Premier Credit Card.
Basically, I’ll go over what the cards offer in terms of benefits and user perks, where you can earn the most cash-back from and then I’ll decide if the card is worth it.

So Who Is This Card Good For?

The Chase Ink Business Premier Credit Card is currently only available to Chase customers that have an existing business relationship manager.
Although it is expected that it will be available to the general public in early 2022.
That being said, the card will be suitable and most rewarding for business that have relatively high expenses.

Annual Fee

Now the Chase Ink Business Premier Credit Card has an annual fee of $195, which is the highest annual fee of all of the Ink cards that are on offer at Chase at the moment.
The Ink Business Cash card has no annual fee and the Ink Business Preferred card is $95 per year.
So let’s continue on and see what that extra $100 per year gets you.

Sign up Bonus

Now the sign up bonus for the new Chase Ink Premier Card is similar to the Ink Preferred card which is currently 100,000 points, and seeing that points are worth 1 cent per points, this sign up bonus is worth $1,000.
The main difference is that the points that come with this new card are non-transferable to Chase Ultimate Rewards which is a bit of a bummer as the transfer rate to Ultimate Rewards is 1.25 cents, so if you do transfer the 100,000 points from the cheaper Preferred card you will get $1,250 in value, or $250 more than what you get with the new Premier card.
One benefit is that the spend requirement to receive the bonus points with the new Premier card is $10,000 in the first 3 months of card ownership, which is $5,000 less than what the Ink Preferred card requires to receive its bonus points.

So, its still are pretty large amount of money to spend within 3 months, but to be fair the card is aimed at business with significant expenses.

Earning Cash Back

Next up, let’s take a look at what cash-back rewards are on offer with this card.

And it’s worth noting the there is no cap on how much cash back you can earn.
So to begin with you will earn 5% cash-back on travel related purchases that are made through Chase Ultimate Rewards.
You will then earn 2.5% cash-back on all purchases that $5,000 or more, and finally all other purchases with receive 2% cash-back.

So if your business has relatively large expenses, you can potential earn quite a lot of cash-back.

Benefits and Insurance Coverage

Now when it comes to benefits and insurance related perks, this card offers some pretty decent options.

A feature that is new to Chase Business cards is Pay In Full and Flex For Business.
With Pay in Full you will basically need to either pay off your entire balance each month or use the new Flex for Business program.
And this basically gives you the option of financing your balance over time with interest, which can be useful if you do happen to have any unexpected expenses that come up.
But I’d recommend paying of your balance as soon as possible to avoid paying any extra fees.

First of all you will get cell phone protection that covers up to $1,000 per claim and will allow for 3 claims each year, with a $100 deducable for each claim.
And for this to be valid you must pay for your cell phone bill with the card.

Next up, you will get trip cancellation/interruption insurance that will cover up to $5,000 per trip if your trip is canceled or interrupted, and for this to be valid you must  pre-pay your travel reservations with the card.

There is Primary car insurance insurance that covers theft or collision damage for most cars in the US and abroad.
And for this to be valid you must pay for the entire rental with the card and then decline the rental agencies insurance policy.

You will get purchases protection that covers new purchases for up to 120 days against theft or damage, and will allow up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account.

And finally you will get extended warranty coverage that gives you one extra year of warranty on eligible US manufactures warranties that are 3 years or less.

Final Thoughts

So what are my thoughts about the new Chase Ink Business Premier Credit Card?

Although its has a generous signup bonus, it is a little bit limited compared to other Business credit cards.
Its most beneficial perk would be that there are no limits on how much cash-back you can earn, and unless you spend an insane amount of money through your business each year, this might not be such a great card for most people.

Another card that I think is worth considering is the Chase Ink Business Preferred credit card, it has the same 100,000 bonus points sign-up bonus, but you get the benefit of being able to transfer the points to Chase Ultimate Rewards, which basically give you an extra $250 in value just from the sign-up bonus.

It also has a decent variety of insurance related benefits and user perks, and best of all its annual fee is only $95.
