With so many credit cards to choose from and a lot of competition to try and stand out from the crowd, there are quite a lot of travel reward credit cards that are now offering 100,000 bonus points or more.

And for this reason, I thought it might be a good idea to take look at 5 different American Express Cards that are all offering at least 100,000 bonus points as a sign-up bonus.

1. American Express Platinum Card

Read my full review of the American Express Platinum Card here.

So the first card on this list is the American Express Platinum card, and this is one of the best premium credit cards that is available now.

Sign-up Bonus

Now the Amex Platinum Card is currently offering a sign-up bonus of 100,000 membership rewards points after you spend $6,000 on purchases within the first 6 months of card ownership.

And with Amex reward points being worth up to 1 cent per point, this sign-up bonus is worth up to $1,000.
So it’s a decent sign-up bonus and enough to easily offset the cost of the annual fee.

Earning Points

So there are 3 different options for earning points with the Amex Platinum Card.

First of all, you will earn 5x points for any flights that are booked directly with airlines or through American Express Travel, with a limit of $500,000 per year.
You will also receive 5x points on any prepaid hotels that are booked through AmexTravel.com
And finally, all other purchases will receive 1 point per dollar spent.

Benefits And User Perks

Now when it comes to perks, the Amex Platinum card has over $2000 in benefits on offer, and whilst most of these perks are really useful, not all of them will suit everybody.

Now when it comes to perks, the Amex Platinum card has over $2000 in benefits on offer, and whilst most of these perks are really useful, not all of them will suit everybody.

So first of all you will receive a $300 credit for use at Equinox gyms.

You will also get a $240 digital entertainment credit that can be used for subscriptions to the New York Times, Audible and SiriusXM, and Peacock.
There is a $200 hotel credit, a $200 Uber credit, and a $200 airline fee credit.

You will receive a $179 credit for CLEAR membership,
And a $155 credit for Walmart +.
There is a $100 credit that can be used for either TSA PreCheck or Global Entry.

As part of the Hotel Collection, you will receive a $100 credit when you make a booking of 2 nights or more through American Express Travel.
You will also receive a $100 credit that can be used at Saks Fifth Ave each year.

Next up you will have access to a wide variety of airport lounges, some of which include the Centurion Lounge, Delta Club, and select Lufthansa Business Lounges.
Along with this, you will get a Priority Pass Select membership that gives you unlimited access to over 1300 airport lounges from all over the world.

Now besides all of these benefits, you will also receive Premium car rental status, Hilton Honors Gold Status, and Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status.
And then finally you will be covered by car rental loss and damage insurance, trip delay and trip cancellation insurance, return protection, extended warranty, and purchases protection.

So needless to say, this is one of the best travel rewards credit cards available on the market today.

2. Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card

Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card

Sign-up Bonus180,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points
Annual Fee$95
APR: 15.74% to 24.74% Variable

The next card on this list is the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass card, and this card has a great sign-up bonus and plenty of great benefits all for just $95 a year.

Sign-up Bonus

Now the Surpass card has a sign-up bonus that is worth almost as much as what the Platinum card is offering, and it just happens to be $600 less for the annual fee.

So the card has a 2 stage sign-up offer, first of all, you can earn 130,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after you spend $2,000 on the card within 3 months of opening the account, and if you can spend a total of $10,000 in the first 6 months of card ownership you will receive an additional 50,000 points.

So all up that’s 180,000 points, and with points being worth about 0.5 cents per point, this sign-up bonus is worth approximately $900, which is worth almost 10x more than the cost of the annual fee, which I think is really good value.

Earning Points

Now you have a fairly wide variety of options when it comes to earning points with the Surpass card.
The highest earnings possible is 12x points on purchases that are made at hotels and resorts that are part of the Hilton portfolio.
You will then be able to earn 6x points at restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations from within the US.
And then finally all other purchases will earn 3x points per dollar spent.

So if used for everyday purchases, you should be able to earn quite a lot of membership reward points.

Benefits And User Perks

Now the Surpass card actually has some pretty good benefits for a card that only costs $95 per year.

First of all, you will receive complimentary Hilton Honors Gold Status, and this provides you with some nice perks such as a daily food and beverage credit, fifth night free, and room upgrade when available.

If you spend $15,000 on the card within a Calendar year, you will be given a free weekend night reward, which is basically a free stay at a Hilton Property on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

You will get a free Priority Pass Select membership which gives you 10 complimentary lounge visits per year to over 1300 airport lounges from all over the world.

And finally, you will have, car rental loss and damage insurance, baggage insurance, extended warranty, and purchases protection.

So all up, this card has a great sign-up bonus and quite a lot of useful benefits and user perks.

3. American Express Platinum Business Card

Now the next card on this list is the Amex Platinum Business card, and this is a great Business credit card that comes with a whole variety of benefits, which include an introductory 0% APR for the first 12 months of card ownership

Sign-up Bonus

So with the sign-up bonus, you will earn 120,000 membership rewards points which are worth up to $1,200 dollars if redeemed on the right benefits.

Now, to receive these points you will need to spend $15,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of card ownership, which is quite a lot.

So if your business doesn’t spend this much, it may be worth taking a look at the Amex Gold Business card, as it requires a lower spend amount to receive its sign-up bonus.

Earning Points

Now when it comes to earning points, the Amex Platinum Business card is slightly different from the personal Platinum Amex card.

First of all, you will earn 5x points on both flights and prepaid hotels that are booked through AmexTravel.com, and unlike the Personal Platinum Amex Card, it is not limited to $500,000 spend per year.
Next up you will 1.5x points on US purchases of $5,000 or more from the following business categories:
*Construction material and hardware suppliers
*Electronic goods, software & cloud system providers
*Shipping providers
(*This is limited to $2 million in purchases each year)
And then all other purchases will receive 1 point per dollar spent.

Benefits And User Perks

Now, this card also offers a ton of different perks and benefits, that are great for both business and personal use.

For business-related perks, you will get a $400 credit per year that can be used at Dell Technologies.
You will also get a $360 credit that can be used with Indeed, and this is basically a job search website that can help your business find appropriate talent.

There is a $150 credit that can be used on Adobe Creative Solutions.
And finally, there is a $120 credit for wireless telephone services.
So all up, that over $1,000 in value for business-related benefits.

Next up, let’s take a look at what else comes with this card.

You will get a $200 airline fee credit that can be used towards incidental fees such as baggage fees and in-flight beverages.
There is a $179 credit that can be used on ‘CLEAR’, which is a service that is offered at airports across the US that gets you through security quite quickly.
You will have access to a large variety of airport lounges with the American Express Global Lounge Collection.

As part of the fine hotels and resorts program, you will receive up to $550 in value from bookings that are made with the card through American Express Travel.
Benefits include a $100 credit that can be used at the hotel, a daily breakfast for two, and a room upgrade if it’s available.

There is a $100 credit for either TSA PreCheck or Global Entry.
If you use your own membership rewards points to pay for a trip, you will automatically receive 35% of the points back each year, up to a total of 500,000 points.

Along with all of these benefits, you will also get a decent amount of insurance coverage which includes, trip delay insurance, trip cancellation/interruption insurance, baggage insurance, cell phone protection of up to $800, extended warranty, and finally purchases protection.

And the last benefit that are worth mentioning that are included with this card is that you will get status with a variety of companies that all offer extra benefits.
They include:

*Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status
*Hilton Honors Gold Status

*Premium Car Rental Privileges
*Premium Private Jet Program

4. Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card

Sign-up Bonus150,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points
Annual Fee$450
APR: 15.74% to 24.74% Variable

Read my full review of the American Express Hilton Honors Aspire Card here.

The next card on this list is the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card.
And this is the highest tier of Hilton Honors credit card that is offered by Amex and comes with an annual fee of $450.

Sign-up Bonus

Now interestingly enough, even though this card has an annual fee that is over $300 more than the Hilton Honors Surplus card, it actually offers a smaller sign-up bonus.

With the Aspire card, you will earn 150,000 Hilton Honors Bonus points after you spend $4,000 within the first 3 months of opening the account.

Now whilst this is 30,000 fewer points than what you can potentially earn with the Surpass card, it’s spend requirement to receive the points is substantially less, ($6,000 to be exact), which is a fair amount of money)

Earning Points

Next up, earning points with this card is a little more rewarding than what you get with the Surpass card.

First of all, you will receive 14x points at hotels and resorts that are part of the Hilton portfolio.
You will then earn 7x points at US restaurants and on select travel, which includes flights that are booked directly with airlines or through AmexTravel.com.
You will also receive 7x points for car rentals that are booked directly with select car companies.
And then all other purchases will receive 3x points per dollar spent.

So this card has a good points earning structure that is specifically beneficial if you stay at Hilton properties.

Benefits And User Perks

Now the Aspire card comes with some really great perks.

First of all, you will receive a $250 Hilton resort credit each year.
You will also get a $100 Hilton on-property credit when you book 2 or more nights through hiltonhonorsaspirecard.com

Each year you will get a $250 airline fee credit that covers incidental costs such as baggage fees and inflight refreshments.

There is a free weekend night reward each calendar year that can be used for a stay at a Hilton property on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

You will get complimentary Hilton Honors Diamond Status, and this is the top tier that is offered by Hilton Hotels.
And this comes with a variety of benefits which include, executive lounge access, room upgrades when available and a 100% points earning bonus on all stays.

Now along with all of these benefits, you will also get car rental loss and damage insurance, baggage insurance, return protection, trip delay insurance, trip cancellation insurance, extended warranty, and purchase protection.

5. Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

Hilton Honors American Express Business Card

Sign-up Bonus180,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points

So the last card on this list is the Hilton Honors American Express Business card, and this card has a relatively low annual fee of $95 and comes with a very generous sign-up bonus.

Sign-up Bonus

Now this card has the same signup bonus as the Surpass card.
Basically, you will earn 180,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after you spend $10,000 within the first 6 months of card ownership.

The first 130,000 points will be awarded to you after you spend $2,000 in the first 3 months, and then the remaining 50,000 points will be awarded to you after you spend a total of $10,000 within 6 months.
